This project piloted new ways of learning and teaching in Science subjects through the development of a wireless Local Area Network (LAN), digital projectors and trolleys of laptops which allowed more flexible and tailored use and deployment of school ICT resources. The project also explored thinking skills, creativity, critical skills, education for work and school to further/higher education transitions, and developed its own model for related in-house and externally provided continuing professional development.
FLaT support was provided to explore new ways of applying next-generation ICT to learning and teaching across the school's science curriculum, and the links to other aspects of the proposal such as thinking skills, creativity in education and the school's education for work programme.
