Web Development

Since its inception in 1999, the Heritage Community Foundation has focused on the development of dynamic websites that present Alberta's historical, natural, cultural, scientific and technological heritage.  The websites draw on the resources of museums, archives and other heritage institutions and organizations.

In addition, the Foundation has undertaken a range of research and digital projects for museum and other clients. We pride ourselves on our knowledge of museums and archives but also the education sector, community organizations, and private-sector clients. We have worked and continue to work with the Aboriginal and Francophone communities, as well as a range of ethnocultural communities. This includes community consultations as well as cultural memory and living tradition research, including oral history.

The Foundation specializes in the following:

  • collections digitization and database creation
  • digitization of text, images, audio and video
  • virtual exhibit creation
  • creation of enriched learning resources for teacher and student use
  • Flash and other new media
  • videography

This work involves all phases of project development, planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting.
