Training Initiatives
The Heritage Community Foundation is an educational trust with charitable objects.  The Foundation has established a national reputation as a leader in research, content creation and online publishing.

The Foundation provides a range of practicum and internship opportunities for researchers and technicians including graphic designers, programmers and web developers.  The Foundation accommodates 30-50 interns per year.

In September, 2004, the Foundation created the Aboriginal IT/Animation Pilot Program, in partnership with the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and eight students graduated from the Program in August, 2005.  For 2005-06, the Foundation and NAIT are offering a revised program-the Aboriginal Training Initiatives: Interactive Media is an 8 month custom-designed, culturally sensitive training program to provide industry with leading-edge professional interactive media technicians.
