F. Morris Flewwelling C.M., President/Chair

Morris Flewwelling, a member of the Order of Canada for his community service in central Alberta, is an educator and the former Director of t Red Deer & District Museums. He has served as a Red Deer City Councillor for many years and is currently the Mayor of Red Deer

Over the past 30 years, he has  served on a range of heritage and cultural boards that have supported heritage preservation, environmental and social causes. These include: the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation Board, the Senate of the University of Alberta, the Waskasoo Foundation Board, the Red Deer Foundation, the Lougheed House Conservation Society and the United Church Historical Society Board. He is a Past President of the Alberta Museums Association (Museums Alberta) and the Canadian Museums Association.  He has served for many years as a Red Deer City Councillor and in October, 2004, he became the Mayor of Red Deer.
