Putting Your School Project on the Web[Content] [Design] [HTML: Code and Software] [Resource List] Many schools are combining heritage projects with technology to create useful and viable web sites that fulfill curriculum objectives, stimulate active learning in the classroom and encourage students to take an interest in local history. How does a school combine these objectives and create a heritage project web site that students and educators can be proud of? By following the same rules that they have always had for school assignments: assignments handed into the teacher should be neat and easy to read. Students who follow those rules already understand three basic principles of good design for the web: know your audience, layout and design are essential and a simple writing style is the one that makes the grade. These rules are not new and teachers can use a web project of any type to reinforce these rules with their students. |
