BioWare is Alberta Chamber of Commerce double winner

Edmonton / Six Edmonton and northern Alberta companies are among those receiving awards of distinction from the Alberta Chamber of Commerce at a gala banquet in Edmonton Wednesday night.

Top honours with the Premier’s Award went to Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, gaming physicians and joint CEOs of BioWare, the internationally acclaimed video games maker, selling more than 11 million units worldwide.

BioWare was a double winner, also taking the Zoom/Jet Stream Marketing Award.

Other winners include:

  • Little Red River Cree Nation of Companies, John D’Or Prairie, winning the Eagle Feather Business Award;
  • Heritage Community Foundation, Edmonton, winning the Alberta Human Resources and Employment Employer of the Year Award;
  • Epcor, Edmonton, winning the University of Alberta/Telus Partners in Workplace Learning Award;
  • Alberta Oil Tool, a Dover Company, Edmonton, winning the WCB-Alberta WorkSafe small employer award;
  • AltaSteel Ltd., Edmonton, winning the Western Economic Diversification Canada’s Export Award.
