Doors Open Alberta 2009

Doors Open Alberta 2009 is shaping up to be another exciting year. Participating communities Communities from all directions of the province from Athabasca to Crowsnest Pass and from Jasper to Lloyminster to In communities across Alberta, you'll be able to participate in a variety of events including a "Marilyn Monroe look-a-like" contest, Visionary Bus Tour, Movie under the Stars, Poetry Walk, as well as visit historically and culturally significant landmark buildings all for free of charge!

Examples of these range from the Legislature in Edmonton to Lougheed House in Calgary and railway stations, town halls, hotels, grain elevators, post offices, schools, churches, parks, residences and business premises throughout Alberta.

Events span communities from north to south - Lac La Biche to Fort Macleod - and from west to east - Crowsnest to Cold Lake. We now span the majority of the province. Events offer access to a range of historic buildings from churches to saloons to Masonic halls and hotels.
