Edmonton Rodeo Cowboy's Benevolent Foundation
The Edmonton Rodeo Cowboy’s Benevolent Foundation provides
maintenance assistance to rodeo athletes who have been seriously injured
participating in these sporting events. To that end, the fund has given
out over $500,000 CDN in aid since its creation.
Northlands Park first earmarked fund money in 1989, creating the current foundation
six years later, to answer a need in the rodeo world for the financial
protection of professionals and their families. Through fundraisers like
the Black Tie Bingo and 50/50 raffle, both of which are held during the
Canadian Finals Rodeo, the foundation has continued to see support for
its cause.
