Treefrog Press

Treefrog Press

From author Allan Shute's vision of an Edmonton based press emerged Tree Frog Press. Initially founded in 1971, Tree Frog Press focused on publishing chapbooks, novels, poetry and art books. However, everything changed with the 1974 publication Bonnie McSmithers, You're Driving Me Dithers. This children's book was a tremendous success and led Tree Frog Press to adjust its focus in the direction of children's literature, young adult novels and historical titles.

The winner of numerous national and international awards, Tree Frog Press has published hundreds of works that are extremely popular. Teddington Lock is an imprint of Tree Frog Press and offers assistance in the areas of publishing and editing to individuals interested in self-publishing. Although Tree Frog Press is Alberta based, the numerous titles published by the press are enjoyed on an international scale and many of the books have been republished in other countries.
