The Discerning Bison's Guide To Multimedia

Welcome to the So, This Is Alberta! website. As you navigate through this site, you’ll find a few points of interest along the way that are worth exploring further. Now, I’m all for just letting you roam around and discover all the special features of the website by yourself. If you are of that mindset, then click here to leave this page and start your journey.

If, however, you are the type who likes things laid out in a nice, tidy package, then read on as I tell you about some of this website’s many distractions.

This is a Richardson’s Ground Squirrel. He is not, nor has he ever been, a “gopher”, so try to lay off of that, alright? You will find him at the top left hand (or hoof) corner of every webpage. Click on him to jump to the So This Is Alberta! interactive comic book!

This is Raven, the source of all trivial knowledge which he affectionately refers to as “Shiny Things”. If you really want to hear more Alberta trivia than you thought was possible, then simply click on him, and he’ll tell you all about it.

This is Lynx. You’ve probably guessed by now that whenever you see Lynx, you’ll see links. No, not sausages, you cheeky…! Web links, you know? Links to websites, specifically those websites you will find in Alberta’s Online Encyclopedia, www.AlbertaSource.ca , brought to you courtesy of the Heritage Community Foundation!

And now, your best reason to visit this website: me! I will be there anytime there is a video to watch or an audio file to listen to or a special feature article to read. I’ll tell you a little bit about what it is you’re about to watch, or hear, or read, and then I’ll leave it up to you to do the rest.

Well, that’s all for now. Enjoy your stay, and I, or one of my compatriots, will be sure catch up with you later!
