Innovation and New Technology

Core Sample AnalysisAlberta's natural resources industries are dynamic entities that are always looking for better ways to make productive use of Alberta's natural world.

Although industries are not perfect, they try to be aware of environmental issues and to develop their resources in an environmentally sound manner. This work requires innovations in research and technology and is something most industries spend a lot of money on.

Innovations and new technologies are also developed to increase company revenues. The ideal situation would be if resource development companies were able to reduce their environmental footprint and make more money, as well. Fortunately, many companies have adopted the ideals of environmental stewardship and are well on their way to achieving this goal.
