Who created the Heritage Youth Link?
The lead partner and project manager is the
Heritage Community
Foundation,
with a proven record in the development of online learning resources. The Foundation
does the following:

Works and forms partnerships with a range of community, heritage, educational, government and other institutions, organizations and agencies to "link people with heritage through discovery and learning" projects;

Develops and maintains the
gateway site to the Province of Alberta's rich historical, natural and cultural heritage as well as related
Canadian Digital Collections sites,
such as
Alberta: How the West Was Young
and
Alberta: Home, Home on the Plains);

Researches and gathers primary content from a number of heritage organizations and institutions throughout
Alberta
-
Makes this research accessible by developing content for the Internet that is dynamic, relevant, interesting and
engaging

Links heritage content with Alberta curriculum to increase greater access
to and use of heritage resources by schools and other community
organizations
-
Uses new technology to educate all Albertans about their
heritage
Project partners include heritage institutions and organizations, schools and funders involved in Youth Heritage Program projects as well as new partners specific to the Heritage Youth Link Website Project: Edmonton Region. These
