Central Alberta Regional Museums Network Online Catalogue

Welcome to the Central Alberta Regional Museums Network Online Catalogue

The Heritage Community Foundation and the Central Alberta Regional Museums Network (CARMN) are delighted to provide an educational and dynamic website with wide public appeal. Through the pages of this site, you will have access to a growing number of objects, images, artefacts, and curiosities from the collections of CARMN members. You will also find contextualizing content on the region, including its physical and human geography, as well as information related to individual institutions. The information on this site can guide you on both virtual and physical tours of Central Alberta.

Throughout the Central Alberta Regional Museums Network Online Catalogue, links are provided to other sites that contain information relevant to the collections thus making full use of the internet as an information-sharing tool. Women of Aspenland, one of the most in-depth sites, is another collaborative effort between the Heritage Community Foundation and the Central Alberta Regional Museums Network.

Should you be interested in traveling to the area, look into Doors Open Alberta, an annual special event that showcases the architectural heritage of the province. Profiles of the individual CARMN museums are provided, along with links to their own websites. Alberta Heritage Online might also be useful- it is Alberta’s first heritage and cultural tourism website.

Have a look around, enjoy your journey of learning and discovery, and come back often to see what we have added.
