Throughout the world the province of Alberta is recognized for
its seemingly untouched natural beauty. While the province is, indeed, home to some of the most breathtaking scenery, it is also home to very aggressive farming, oil and gas development, mining, and forestry industries which, combined with the development of roads and railways and the encroachment of urban
centres, have greatly impacted the natural balance throughout the province - placing many species at risk.
