The Lower Foothills Soils

Regosolic SoilSoils of upland forests are predominantly Luvisolics and Brunisolics with Gleyed Luvisols and Gleysolics in more poorly drained sites. Organic soils are common in depressional sites, and Regosolics occur along stream valleys and on steeper slopes.
