Central Mixedwood Climate

The climate of the Central Mixedwood Subregion is subhumid and continental with short, cool summers and long, cold winters. While the average temperature between the months of May and September is around 12 degrees Celsius, the frost-free period is about 85 days in length. Annual precipitation averages about 380 millimetres with June and July being the wettest months. Winters tend to be relatively dry and, overall, the climate is somewhat moister and cooler than the Dry Mixedwood Subregion with somewhat lower moisture deficits.
