The Foothills Parkland Climate

A snapshot of the climate of the Foothills Parkland Mean annual precipitation ranges from 650 millimetres in the far south to 500 millimetres in the northern part of the subregion. The average May - September precipitation is approximately 290 millimeters.  Temperature change is significant season to season with the average temperature in January around 1 degrees Celsius and around 14 degrees Celsius at the height of summer in July. The mean May - September temperature sits at about 12-13 degrees Celsius while the region experiences approximately 90 frost-free days each year.
