Displays
The Wanham Grizzly Bear Prairie Museum focuses on
the pioneer history of Wanham and area, with a particular emphasis on
the agricultural side of that history.
1924 Log House
 The heart of
the museum is a piece of history itself: a fully restored and
furnished 1924 two-storey log house. The house was originally built by
a man named Walter Francis as a home for him and his wife, and
featured the first fireplace for a home in the area. Today, the house
contains historic furnishings of the period, as well as letters from
Francis to his wife, then his fiancée, who was in
Ireland during their engagement while the home was being constructed.
Historic Buildings Collection
Along with the log house, other
historic buildings are on site to help trace the history of the town.
A restored 1928 livery barn is on site, along with a 1934 First
Presbyterian church, and several other historic structures including a
railway station building, a fire tower, and a sawmill.
Antique Agricultural
Artifacts Display
 The importance of the
agricultural industry on Wanham and the surrounding district is also
represented by a large and prominent display of historic farming
implements. Antique tractors and plows and pioneer farm equipment can
be found on the grounds throughout the site.
