In 1926, Peter Lerbekmo bought The City of Edmonton, and restored it to flying condition. To obtain a share in the aircraft, Ted Reynolds agreed to repair and install the engine. The plane successfully flew a number of flights in July 1928.

In October 1928, Ted Reynolds gave Lerbekmo his 1927 Star automobile in exchange for full ownership of the Curtiss JN-4 they worked on together. Reynolds flew The City of Edmonton for several years before placing it in storage.
