Airplane and pilots at the Big Gap Round-Up, Neutral HillsThe early pioneering years of aviation in Alberta were marked by the efforts of individuals who sought to experience the thrill of the new invention of flight.

Considering the risks that they were taking, these people were able to experiment freely with relatively little red tape, and relatively fewer injuries. Whether Alberta born or flying through town to stop in for a time, these pioneers of aviation in our province had amazing successes.
