Keys to the City: Heritage Awards

EDMONTON - A number of individuals and groups who have contributed to the preservation of Edmonton's heritage were recognized at the 29th annual Edmonton Historical Board Awards Ceremony, held Thursday at the Prince of Wales Armouries Heritage Centre.

The Honorees were:

- The Restoration Department of the Alberta Aviation Museum and Learning Centre

- The Muslim Pioneers of Edmonton (builders of the Al Rashid Mosque)

- The Edmonton chapter of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women

- The Heritage Community Foundation

- Legacy, Alberta's Cultural Heritage Magazine.

Award winners have been added to Edmonton's Historical Hall of Fame.
