Innovation
Innovation is a social and economic process involving
the introduction, development and adaptation of new ideas and marketable products
and services. In this section we explore these activities, detailing the resources, policies, regulations and institutions that fuel and support these efforts in our communities.
An inventor may develop an idea, but it is the
innovator who takes action, finds a unique application and incorporates it
into a larger system of existing knowledge. This section
focuses on the implementation of the creative spirit to encourage economic
growth and social development that is applicable to every sector of
Alberta's economy.
Throughout this section, learn how creative ideas and Alberta
inventions travel off of the inventor's drawing board and into the lives
of Albertans and Canadians.
