Teacher Zone

The Teacher Zone is divided into sections with lesson plans intended for various grade levels. These sections include The Forest, The People, and The Traditions.

The Forest section includes information on the Boreal Forest, plant life, and wildlife. Lesson plans in this section meet Alberta curriculum requirements for Elementary and Junior High Social Studies.

The People section explores the peoples of the Boreal Forest, changing ways, trappers, and hunters and gatherers. Lesson plans in this section meet Alberta curriculum requirements for Elementary and Junior High Social Studies.

The Traditions section examines life on the trapline, travel, and artwork. Lesson plans in this section meet Alberta curriculum requirements for Junior High and High School Social Studies.

The Activity Keys section contains answers to word searches, crossword puzzles and worksheets.
