Instructional Plans

There are three clusters of lessons for use with elementary levels students. The first is “Plants Used for Medicinal and Social Purposes. It has a series of sub-lessons to familiarize students with the traditional use and contemporary knowledge about plants available today and to the First Nations and Métis people of the arkland and northern prairie region of western Canada. The second is Reserve Communities, consisting of some activities to acquaint middle elementary students with the sense of similarities among communities. The final set is entitled History of Syllabics, but it contains activities leading to an understanding of communities.
