In this section there is information about A.M. Jeffers, the architect who designed the Alberta Legislature. Students and teachers can read about John Rule, Peter Rule, and Gordon Wynn who formed an Edmonton architectural firm that introduced modernist architecture and the International Style in Alberta. McMillan Long Architects introduced many post-modern structures in Alberta. The architect Donald Bittorf produced buildings like the Edmonton Art gallery. Philippe Delesalle designed buildings in communities in the Rocky Mountains, like the Whyte Museum. Douglas J. Cardinal is an Alberta Aboriginal who has an international reputation for producing architecture that is naturalistic, blending with the environment it occupies.
