The Canadian Aboriginal architect Douglas J. Cardinal has an international reputation of excellence. He has been called the creator of an indigenous style of architecture that is described as being both organic and curvilinear. Cardinal sees architecture as an art that creates built environments in harmony within urban and natural spaces.
