Photo Essays

Allan Kerr, President of the Canadian Militaria Preservation Society locted in Edmonton, Alberta, has compiled 20 unique articles on a wide range of topics dealing with Alberta and the Second World War. The photo essays seen throughout this entire website derive much of their material from Second World War Canadian Government publications, 1939 to 1946. These documents were distributed nationwide, influencing and persuading Canadians to view the Second World War from the same perspective as the Federal Government. A partial listing of the documents is provided in the essay - Homefront Propaganda.

The articles listed below are brief (approximately 500 words) and contain anywhere from 5 to 12 images.
