Writers Guild of Alberta Awards

The Writers Guild of Alberta holds an annual competition for books of various sorts. The Alberta literary awards are comprised of several prizes, all named for outstanding individuals within the specified type of writing. Books or registered plays must be submitted by December 15. Books may be submitted to the following categories:

George Bugnet Award for Novel
Gwen Pharis Ringwood Award for Drama
Wilfred Eggleston Award for Non-Fiction
Stephan G. Stephansson Award for Poetry
Howard O'Hagan Award for Short fiction
R. Ross Annett award for Children's literature
