City of Edmonton Book Prize

In 1995, Edmonton City Council established the City of Edmonton Book Prize as a way of celebrating the 200th anniversary of the founding of Fort Edmonton.

Sponsored by Audrey's Books, the City of Edmonton Book Prize is awarded annually. Entries may be written in various forms such as fiction, poetry or drama, and the chosen audience may be adult or child. The only other stipulation is that entries touch upon some aspect of Edmonton culture, whether it be art, history, current events, or people. Accompanying the City of Edmonton Book Prize is a $2,000 cash prize.
