Pages on Kensington

Kensington is a thriving area of Calgary complete with artsy stores, interesting boutiques, art and craft. Kensington Village galleries, gift stores, and a variety of restaurants. Nestled in this vibrant atmosphere is Pages on Kensington, a book store with an interesting past.

Back in 1947, the first branch library of the Calgary Public Library was located in the Pages building. Although the facade of the building has since changed, the building retains the original wooden floors. Today, this historic building houses a bookstore with over 10,000 titles in stock, and access to many other books in print. For harder to find titles, the latest book search software is available and can help to locate nearly any book desired. Among the services Pages provides the Calgary literary community, one of the most important is that it acts as a meeting place for the public and authors alike, both gathering to participate in evening readings.

The Life of PiPages offers many services, such as shipping to any location, offering suggestions for book club meetings, offering credits with purchases, and providing a special order service to find specific books. The bookstore also proudly offers the 'Books for Kids in Need' program. People can choose to purchase children's books that they'd like to donate and Pages offers a 20% discount. The donations will be given to the Children's Cottage Society, Hull Child and Family Services, and the Awo Taan Native Woman's Shelter Society.
