Paul-Émile Breton

Paul-Émile BretonPaul-Émile Breton was from Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. He earned a pharmacy degree after basic school. He also became an ordained Oblate in 1926, where he pursued pharmacological studies at the Université de Montreal. He entered the Oblate novitiate in 1926, beginning religious studies that led him to priesthood in 1929. He was ordained in Ottawa. His ministries were mainly in Québec.

In 1939 he moved west, and founded the French radio station CHFA. He was editor of the Edmonton French newspaper La Survivance.

Breton died in Edmonton and is buried in St. Albert.
