Louis Desrochers

Louis DesrocherAs an infant, Louis Desrochers arrived in Jasper, Alberta from Montreal. In Edmonton, he was educated in French in at the Collège des Jésuites and then the Collège Saint-Jean.

He returned to the East to complete his undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa, and while there he developed an interest in government. Two years later he graduated and he met his future wife, Marcelle Boutin. They had five children.

Desrochers received his law degree from the University of Alberta. He became lawyer and friend to the partners of Maclab construction. He has given public service to his community. His service included CHFA radio, Grey Nuns Foundation, association canadienne-française de l'Alberta, Collège Saint-Jean, and the Governors of the University of Alberta.
