Lucien Maynard

Lucien Maynard Lucien Maynard was born in Montreal, but he grew up in Alberta. He became a lawyer in 1931. His law business was in the Francophone community of St. Paul. From there, he entered politics in the Social Credit party of Alberta.

He was elected as MLA for Beaver River in 1935 and became Minister of Municipal Affairs. He was re-elected in four following elections.

After losing an election in 1955 he resumed his law practice. He then became president of l'Association canadienne-francaise de l'Alberta (ACFA) . He and others formed a group of francophone credit unions.

Lucein Maynard was a provincial court judge from 1971 -1985.
