Édouard Rouleau

Édouard RouleauThe younger of the Rouleau brothers, Édouard-Hector Rouleau followed a similar path to his brother Charles Borromée, He served the church, the education system, and the Francophone community..

He had studied in Quebec to obtain a medical degree. He joined the militia and was assiting troups in the 1885 Rebellion. After he joined his brother in Calgary, Édouard remained to practise medicine for the duration of his career. The Rouleau family became a key part of the French-speaking community in Calgary. The area in which they lived was dubbed "Rouleauville."
