Denis and Rose-Alda Lajoie

Denis and Rose-Alda Lajoie Denis Lajoie came west from St. Flore, PQ in 1910 at the age of 22. He took a homestead at St. Paul and married Rose-Alda Lafreniere. Denis was one of the second wave of settlers to the area. They arrived after the original settlement of Saint Paul des Métis ebbed away.

Denis helped finish the rail road tracks from Spedden to St. Paul. Denis and Rose-Alda are both buried at St. Paul.
