  • 24TH AVE. COTTAGE SCHOOL
    Like the later series of Bungalow Schools, Calgary's Cottage Schools were built to accommodate a rapid growth of the school population.
  • 41 MEAT MARKET, 1910
    This two-storey brick and sandstone building was originally built for Swift Canadian Meats during Fort Macleod's boom period.
  • A. YOUNG HOUSE
    The house is an imposing two-and-one-half storey brick structure, which occupies three-and-one-half lots and displays a large lawn and garden beautifully landscaped with trees and shrubs.
  • AITKEN HOUSE
    Manufacturer's agent Robert Aitken bought this frame house from its builder in 1912.
  • ALEX FLEMMING RESIDENCE
    Alex Flemming joined the North West Mounted Police in 1881 and was initially posted to Fort Walsh.
  • ANDERTON BLOCK AND HORSESHOE LIQUOR STORE, 1909
    The Anderton Block was completed in 1909 by the prominent local contractor James S. Lambert.

    Reginald and Herbert Armstrong built the Armstrong Block as a speculative venture.
  • ASH RESIDENCE
    William Thomas Ash and his family were the first occupants of this house in 1913. Mr. Ash, along with his brother Sidney, established the prosperous downtown ‘Ash Brothers Diamond Hall’ in 1907.

    Assiniboia Hall was the university’s second building. Excavation, begun in the autumn of 1911.
