Fishing NetTraditions were regarded as normative patterns of behavior, which took a different coloration depending upon the tribe or band.  The most resilient of these traditions was found in Ritual Law but, in  Restitutional Law the tradition of integrating the wrongdoer back into the healthy society was deemed more essential than punishment.
