Tell students that they will work in small groups to investigate the
place of the Famous 5 in Canadian history in the early 1900s. Provide
each group with the selected photographs and Profiles from The Famous
5 website and ask them to investigate one of these women.
Have the students use the sources to look for evidence of the
impact the Famous 5 had on events and people in Canadian history
during this time period. Students may be asked to use
Analyzing Photographs and
Analyzing Documents to help them discuss and examine the sources.
