Oscar Lopez

Calgary-based Oscar Lopez was born in Santiago, Chile, and moved to Canada in 1979. He is a world-class guitarist, known for the Latino feel of his music. Prairie Music Awards named him Instrumentalist of the Year and he has been nominated three times for Juno Awards. Lopez was 2002 Juno Award Winner for Best Instrumental Album for his work, Armando’s Fire.
