Listen as historian Merrily Aubrey explains how Castle Mountain got its name. Sir James Hector was a surveyor for the Palliser expedition, originally named the peak Castle Mountain. However, controversy ensued when Mackenzie King wanted to rename it to coincide with the visit of an American President.
