Listen as historian Merrily Aubrey explains how the village of Burdett got its name. A feisty woman from England, Georgina Baroness Burdett Couttes, of the Narrow Gage Railway served as the inspiration for the name. Other names in southern Alberta thought to relate to the Baroness are also discussed.
