Abee

Category : Hamlet

According to the records of the NAR, the A&GWR; named this station in 1914 using the initials of A. B. Donley, manager of the North West Lumber Co. of Edmonton. Itis possible that the lumber company was a supplier for the railway’s construction. Local residents believe it may have been named for the initials of settlers in the area. Now a hamlet, it is under the jurisdiction of the County of Thorhild No. 7.
