Beaupre Creek

Named after Louis Beaupré, an early settler who bought squatter's rights there. The Beaupre School District (without the accent) No. 4182 was established in 1925. In the 1880s, Louis Beaupré, a French-Canadian settler and his Métis wife settled on this creek. Beaupré was a rancher who also cut and sold logs to the Cochrane Ranche Company. Other features in this district are also named for members of this family. The name was officially approved 12 December 1939.

Flows south-east into Bow River, approximately 30 km north-east of Calgary.
