Allerston

Named in 1914 for Jake Allers who settled in the district with his family. The post office was opened in July 1911 and was originally called "Doran," after Mrs. Vedee Hierath's (postmistress) son. In January 1914, the post office was moved to a new site and the name was changed to Allerston.

Approximately 108 km south south-west of Medicine Hat.
