Adair Creek
Category : Creek | |
J. R. Akins, DLS, mentioned the name “Adair Creek” in a letter to the surveyor general in 1916. It may have been for a member of his survey crew. The local name for the creek, which has been in use since the 1930s, is Gondali Zahéh. This is a Dene Tha’ name meaning “creek-that-visits- the-river.” A family who used to live along it apparently gave the Dene name to the stream. |
