This section contains a number of photographs documenting the history of Alberta's Black Pioneers and their descendants. Alberta’s Black Pioneer descendants have taken a great interest in preserving their heritage. Photographs are one way in which they have succeeeded. This specific collection of historical and contempoary photos sheds light on the some of the earliest Black Pioneer settlers including the Carothers, Lefflers, and Proctor families. The selections found here include original settlers, children and grandchildren.
