Natural
gas is one of Canada's most important forms of energy, an essential part of our

for homes and businesses, and continues to be adopted by more and more
homebuilders and enterprises each year. High-efficiency furnaces, water heaters,
clothes dryers, stoves, fireplaces, barbecues, heat pumps and integrated
heating-cooling devices also operate on natural gas. The use of natural gas to
generate electricity is one of the fastest-growing uses of this fuel.
