The town of
Leduc is situated in the eastern part of the County of Leduc, sixteen kilometres
south of the City of Edmonton. The town is near the Edmonton International
airport and the Leduc-Nisku Industrial area, one of the largest business and
industrial parks in Canada. It also straddles Highway 2, the highway which
connects Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary.
The continuing
economic growth of Alberta and the Edmonton metropolitan area provides an
attractive climate for Leduc's population growth and economic development. The
town enjoys exceptionally good locational attributes, including proximity to
road, rail and air transportation modes as well as access to a growing local and
metropolitan labour pool.
