Post 1947

Burning Acid, c.1930.Because of Leduc's proximity to Edmonton, it is assured development based on amenities accessible to Leduc. Also because of Leduc's close proximity to a major airport, a major highway and a major railway, any major economic development or growth within Edmonton or the major transport routes near Leduc will result in certain growth for Leduc. Leduc is designated a satellite industrial growth centre. As well, farming and animal husbandry remain strong local economies, as well as petroleum.
