Logging with the Big Wheel—1898We can all learn from past examples—Alberta has an interesting history that we can both learn about, and learn from. Industry in Alberta has changed significantly in the past 100–150 years, from the non-mechanized, and often dangerous coal mines of the late nineteenth century, to today's technologically sophisticated and unionized coal mining industry.
